This is a part-time role working 15 hours per week. On offer is a salary between £9,360 - £10,958 and benefits package.**
EQUANS is North East Lincolnshire Council’s long-term Regeneration Partner delivering a number of services on their behalf, including the Highways & Transport Service.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator/Assistant to join our growing Transport and Traffic team.
You will support the development of transport, traffic and road safety projects across North East Lincolnshire and provide excellent customer service to all of our customers and stakeholders.

**What will you deliver?**:
- Provide assistance to the Traffic and Transport team by undertaking investigations relating to the introduction of road safety improvement schemes including carrying out site visits, identifying solutions, the drafting of proposals and the carrying out of stakeholder consultation.
- Investigate speed related complaints and arrange speed surveys.
- Assist with the development and implementation of the Council’s Casualty Reduction Strategy.
- Assist with management of existing speed camera sites
- Assist with delivery of the Local Transport Plan (LTP) programmes.
- Support the drafting of Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) including undertaking site assessments, drafting proposals, undertaking stakeholder engagement, and collating responses.
- Support the administration of other highway requests from the public and elected members.
- Maintain the Highway Asset Management Register database on behalf of the Transport & Traffic team.
- Collate, investigate and provide appropriate responses to public queries and comments.
- Assist with the preparation of drawings & estimates for work orders.
- Produce and maintain accurate records of works.
- Assist with the co-ordination of events on the highway.
- Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably expected at this level.

**Who are we looking for?**:
- **Essential**:
- GCSE pass at grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English Language
- NVQ Level 3 Business Administration and/or equivalent level of experience
- Experience of dealing effectively with external partners
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise work to meeting deadlines and work flexibly and attend meetings out of hours if required
- Good attention to detail
- Experience of following processes working to deadlines and potentially conflicting priorities
- Good team worker

**Desirable**:
- Experience of working with specialist IT systems including AutoCAD and Keysoft suite of software
- Experience of collecting, analysing and reporting on performance indicators
- Knowledge of highways, traffic & transport related matters
- Experience of working within a Local Authority or Partnership organisation
- Budget management experience
- Knowledge and understanding of the Local Transport Plan strategy.
