As a **Head of HR & OD**you’ll play a vital role in**leading work to identify, shape, plan, commission and deliver the corporate programme of HR and OD activity for the borough, to promote a culture of continuous improvement, customerfocus, and enhance business delivery, ensuring that solutions align with the business objectives and support agreed workforce priorities.**

**About the role**:
Based in **Kingston** (Hybrid), you will be tasked with the following:
Working closely with AD’s and HoS - lead on the development of strategies and the timely and effective delivery of HR programmes of activities related to:

- OD strategy
- Workforce Planning
- Change and Culture Management
- Employee Engagement and Well-being
- People Performance
- Modernisation and efficiency
- Policy Development
- Employee Relations
- Learning and Development
- Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

**About you**:
You will have the following skillsets or experiences:

- **Local Authority experience is highly desired for this role**:

- **I**n depth understanding of people management and organisational development the underlying principles and practice.
- Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), equivalent qualification and/or evidence of equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Significant experience of managing an OD enabling service with a focus on increasing efficiency and improving customer service.
- An understanding of trends in the professional area and how these may need to be adapted to be relevant to the Council, its operations and services
- An excellent understanding of legislation and statutory guidance.

You'll be working for **Kingston & Sutton Councils**in a Shared HR Service.

- **Salary: £69,165 - £76,476
