The role will be responsible for developing and executing the organisation’s People strategy with a focus on driving a values-based culture. The remit of the role will also include the operational management of all aspects of generalist HR to provide a proactive, professional and supportive HR service to line managers.

Main responsibilities include:

- Working with the Senior Leadership Team in the ongoing development and implementation of People strategy, policies and procedures, and organisational development for employees.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure HR is able to support the organisation’s objectives around engagement, wellbeing, reward and retention.
- Providing advice and guidance on HR support, best practice and employment legislation to all stakeholders.
- Strengthening the employee experience to promote an engaged and motivated workforce.
- Providing advice and guidance to the leadership and executive teams on all People related matters.
- Reviewing and developing HR related policies and being the lead on the following HR disciplines: Talent, recruitment and retention; Culture and engagement; Development of performance management processes; Leadership and Development; Equality and Diversity; and Reward and recognition.
- Developing and implementing effective internal communications and people engagement initiatives to embed organisational culture and drive continuous improvement.
- Developing and managing performance management processes to empower managers to sustain high performance teams.
- Developing the organisation’s onboarding and induction programmes to offer an excellent employee experience.
- Dealing with all employee relations matters in line with employment legislation.
- Developing effective working relationships with the Trade Union.
- Line management of an HR Assistant.
- Managing the HR budget.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
