Reporting to the CFO, you’ll be the driving force behind our talent strategy, ensuring that we attract, retain and develop the industry’s top talent. You’ll empower our managers and employees with the latest best practices, and foster a dynamic, innovative culture that sets us apart from the competition.**

As a seasoned change management expert, you’ll lead the charge in shaping our existing Bede culture to align with our strategic objectives and core values. With your fresh ideas, creativity, and vision, you’ll build a world-class People function that supports our people and enables our continued growth and success.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Develop and own Bede’s People strategy, ensuring that capability and capacity align with the overall business strategy.
- Lead the following People disciplines: talent, recruitment and retention, succession planning, learning and development, culture and engagement, development of performance management processes, and reward and recognition.
- Provide advice and guidance to the executive team and board on all People-related matters.
- Create a scalable and flexible org structure that can accommodate a larger and more diverse workforce and support Bede’s strategic objectives.
- Lead the company’s People-related projects, ensuring their timely delivery and success.
- Develop and lead a team of HR professionals across an international remit.
- Implement a MI scorecard to provide visibility on key People metrics, using data to inform decision-making.
- Own all People-related policies within the business, ensuring legal compliance on all People activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that Bede’s People strategy aligns with other strategic initiatives.
- Drive change management initiatives, ensuring that the organisation is able to adapt and thrive in a rapidly evolving industry.
- Foster a positive and engaging workplace culture, promoting the company’s values.
- Continuously improve and evolve Bede’s People-related processes and practices, keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices.
- Ensure that Bede’s diversity and inclusion initiatives are aligned with the company’s values and goals, promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Bede Gaming, promoting the company’s employer brand and attracting top talent to the organisation.
- Manage the department’s annual budget

**What we are looking for**:
**Essential**:

- Be a dynamic and innovative People leader with a proven track record of operating at a strategic Head of People level, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to the role.
- Be a highly influential and engaging communicator who can build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen including financial planning and budgeting
- Have a passion for developing team members and empowering colleagues, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Be able to thrive in a competitive, fast-paced, and constantly evolving industry, using your creativity and resourcefulness to overcome challenges and seize opportunities.
- Hold a professional qualification in HR (e.g. CIPD), with a deep understanding of HR best practices and trends.
- Reside in the North East and be able to accommodate some international travel, bringing a global perspective to the role.
- Be a natural leader who can inspire and motivate others to achieve their best, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Have a strategic mindset, with the ability to think creatively about the company’s People-related initiatives and how they can support the overall business strategy.
- Be adaptable and flexible, able to pivot quickly as the needs of the organisation evolve and change.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, promoting a workplace culture that is welcoming and inclusive for all employees.

**Desirable**:

- Ideally have experience working in a fast-growing tech business with an international footprint, with a strong understanding of the gaming industry and its unique challenges and opportunities.
