**A day in the life of a Guest Service Assistant - Reception**

Reporting directly to the Front Office Manager, you will be the first point of contact for most of our guests. Your role will be to welcome guests from all over the World.
- Take reservations using the hotel reservation system.
- Check guests in and out, including preparation of guest bills and taking payments.
- Responsible for the manning of the Front Desk and engaging with our guests with professional, personable and memorable service.
- Support with the running of meetings and conferences
- Take food orders, serve drinks at the bar and assist with food service.
- Other ad hoc duties when required.
- Deal with guest complaints in the first instance and reporting to the manager on duty.
- Overall ensuring our wonderful guest have a great stay with us and return to the hotel in the future.

**What need we need from you?**
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hotel industry is desirable
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for this role

We are 103 bedroom hotel that welcome well behaved pets and are located just off Junction 29 of the M6 motorway. Our facilities in included meeting room space and food and beverage offering for our guests.

As someone with experience in hotels, you will understand we are a 7 day a week operation and can expect shifts both midweek and at weekends. Flexibility is important. To cover staff holidays on occasion you may be required to cover night shifts.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
