Accounts Administrator

Opportunity for an experienced numbers person to really make a difference in a growing property business as our portfolio of products and properties under management increases.
In addition to the fundamentals of accounting & payroll, you will have a clear understanding of how a business operates and the importance of timely information to assist decision making.
**This part time role will include (but not be limited to)**:
- **KPI Management**:
- You will prepare timeous KPI information for the Managing Director on a weekly basis to create a clear picture of all parts of the business and their performance against expectations.
- **Letting Agent Client Account Reconciliation** - As regulated letting agents, we are required to have strict controls in place to handle client monies. You will ensure that our lettings client account is always reconciled up to date.
**You will also be involved with but not limited to the following duties**:
- General bank accounts reconciliation including project accounts, and holiday let client accounts.
- Overseeing the compiling and preparing monthly system-generated owner statements, and creating a BACS file to make payments in bulk.
- General financial administration
- Installing a budgeting system
- Establishing and maintaining processes to ensure timely payment of suppliers.
- Installing an expense claims system
- Issuing Sales invoices
- Assisting with the preparation of the quarterly VAT return.
- Update fixed assets register
**To be considered for this opportunity you must**:
- Have experience within a similar finance role, preferably within property
- Have knowledge of VAT (desirable)
- Have working knowledge of Xero or Sage payroll & accounting software (required)
- Have strong MS Office Excel/Google Sheets knowledge
- Have excellent communication skills and a personable nature
- Complete a basic data analysis exercise online
**Terms and Location**
- The role is initially for 1.5/2 days per week but will likely grow with the needs of the business.
- Rate based on experience and available skills.
- You will be based in our St Andrews office for at least one of the days.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Freelance
Part-time hours: 12-16 per week
**Salary**: From £15.00 per hour
