**Registered Manager**

Daisy Nook Recruitment is proud to be working alongside a privately run residential home for young adults (17-30 year olds), with homes based in Dunstable, Wootton and Wilstead. The homes for adults with complex care needs, ranging from learning difficulties,autism, mental health and substance misuse. Our client is looking for a Registered Manager for their homes in Wootton and Wilstead. This is a great career opportunity, joining a growing service right at a pivotal point.

The salary is between £40,000 - £50,000, dependent on experience.

**Duties and Responsibilities of the Registered Manager**

To provide the team with positive leadership and guidance to ensure that the welfare of our Residents is paramount, and Residents are supported to achieve the best possible outcomes

To ensure all team members have an understanding and commitment to implement our clients policies and procedures in line with current legislation

To be involved with staff recruitment

To ensure that all staff receive regular supervision and an annual appraisal to ensure Health & Safety procedures are adhered to and that care given to our clients is of the highest quality and that staff are given opportunities to continually develop theirskills

To ensure that the transition of Residents into the home is welcoming and reflects the expectations of the care plan

To support and manage the team to ensure that when Residents come to leave the home that this is done sensitively and within the company’s policy and procedures

To have lead responsibility and clear understanding of health and safety and security measures in and outside the home

To be responsible foroverseeing the development, monitoring and implementation of the individual Young Adult’s care plans and case files

To ensure that care plans are regularly reviewed by Key workers

To develop and maintain good working relationships with parents/carers, social, workers, colleges and any other professionals involved with the welfare of our Residents

To ensure the specific needs of Residents are met including religious observance, cultural needs, dietary requirements and medical conditions and their treatment etc.

To attend training and ensure that all staff attend required/relevant training

To be instrumental in maintaining good communication systems, including hand overs, staff meetings, logbooks and regular meetings etc.

To be involved in disciplinary action when necessary

**Registered Manager Specification**

To have a suitable cleared enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service Check

Positive experience working with Residents who have learning disabilities/ autism/challenging behaviour etc.

To be able to build appropriate relationships with Residents who have learning disabilities/ autism/challenging behaviour etc.

To be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and all significant parties in a client’s life including families’, social workers, other professionals and organisations etc.

The ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing and to complete reports and care plans etc.

The ability to drive and evidence of a clean driving license

Good IT skills

Good Knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 [Regulated Activities] Regulations 2014

Good Knowledge of the Care Quality Commission Regulations 2009

Knowledge and experience of implementing, de-escalation skills and appropriate methods of control in respite and residential care

Knowledge and experience of implementing Adult’s Safeguarding Procedures

Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities

Relevant Health and Social Care Qualification (Level 5)
