**Position**:
The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for an Events and Community Officer (maternity cover) to support our Public Fundraising team.

**Deadline: 15 September**

**Location: London**

**Salary: Starting salary £31,350, plus £3,285 London Weighting.**

**Hours: Full time (35 hours)**

**Contract type: This is a fixed term role for 12 months**

This exciting Events and Community Officer role will help support a busy events team deliver a diverse portfolio of events, and play a key role in bringing in income for the charity by providing support to our fundraisers, and ensuring they have a positive experience raising money for the Mental Health Foundation, you will work across a range of key sporting and community events.

What does the role involve?
- Support the Events and Community Manager in building relationships with events and community participants; ensuring all supporters are well stewarded to encourage donor retention and repeat support.
- Take full responsibility for all aspects of the Foundation’s involvement in at least one fundraising event each year e.g. Mental Health Awareness Week Skydives.
- Contribute to business, marketing and communications plans to support existing and instigate new cost-effective events and community fundraising initiatives.

- Demonstrable understanding of using online platforms for fundraising and/or marketing
- Demonstrable excellent communication skills both written and verbal (face-to-face, incoming and outgoing, phone calls, basic copy for on
- and offline activities)
- Demonstrable experience in building successful relationships internally and externally
