An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a HR & Payroll Coordinator to join our national business, based at our Support Centre in Brackmills.

Joining this established business, you will assist in supporting almost 200 employees across our Support Centre and UK operations, coordinating information for the monthly payroll and employee benefits to our outsourced provider whilst also providing daily HR administration support.

Reporting to the Group Operations Manager, the ideal person for this role will have a good understanding of payroll and HR processes, will be able to display strong attention to detail and have a passion for continuous improvement.

You will act as the first point of contact for our colleagues staff in order to oversee and coordinate operational and transactional HR requirements. Additionally, you will assist with the onboarding of new employees and be the first point of contact for any HR or payroll related enquiries, providing guidance and general advice.

To be considered for this role you will:

- Be a capable and confident HR Assistant/Coordinator, with experience in a fast paced environment (blue collar would be ideal).
- Have an understanding of end-to-end HR processes and procedures.
- Possess the ability to identify and resolve potential problems or issues and take necessary actions to prevent them from developing.
- Display a proven ability to plan and prioritise a busy workload and meet agreed targets/deadlines.
- Be able to manage multiple internal customer requirements simultaneously.
- Work at pace with a high level of attention to detail;
- Possess excellent communication and IT skills.

**About The Role**

**Core HR/Payroll Duties**
- To maintain and update electronic personnel record systems containing all employment-related information including absence, holidays, starters and leavers, benefits etc.
- To administer employee starter and leaver processes as appropriate including producing letters and ensuring payroll data is provided to our payroll bureau.
- To prepare any letters or contracts for any changes to employee terms and conditions e.g. flexible working/change of hours/change of location as appropriate
- To handle maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental leave and parental leave administration where appropriate, and liaise with the payroll provider to ensure correct payments are processed.
- To support the implementation of HR systems or databases; to enter data and maintain these accordingly.
- To handle initial contact into the HR department, signposting onwards as appropriate.
- Escalate issues of concern to the appropriate member of the Senior Leadership Team.
- To respond to general queries from managers and employees, signposting them to the appropriate policies and procedures.
- Undertaking all required pre-employment check administration.
