Here at **Human Appeal **we have an exciting opportunity for a** **Community Hub Coordinator** **to join our team based in Birmingham. You will join us on a full-time basis as part of an initial 1-year fixed term contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role. In return, you will receive a **competitive salary.**

**Key duties and responsibilities of the **Community Hub Coordinator**:

- Expanding overall Community hub operation with increased usage year on year.
- Establish hub for community that actively engages with community, manifest as increased community events/response/interest/profile
- Community Hubs successfully maintain; highest standard of H&S, smooth operations, optimal performing of RCLOs & successful stock Management.
- Recruit volunteers fundraise for Reach, challenges and fundraising.
- Develop and deliver a fundraising strategy for the community hub.
- Achieve high usage of the hubs targets by maximizing partnerships and utilizing the facilities with minimum costs
- Facilitate the required Gift Aid conversion rates and manage the GA process
- General management of the site by executing all community hub operations and managing donations. Ensuring daily/weekly community engagement targets are achieved and increase donation point targets.
- Maintaining handling cash in line with protocol: entry onto DMS/AMS system, securing petty cash, and following finance policy in order to create a secure donation receipt system, create an audit trail and safeguard HA funds.
- Acting as a HA ambassador by living the values to enhance HA public image and create trust with local community.
- Understanding what we mean by risk by identifying, reporting and managing the risks associated with your role as an integral part of your daily work to safeguard employees, volunteers and the general public.
- Maintaining synergy between fundraising and community hubs activities via active departmental collaboration and supporting FR in the management of funds to promote community hubs further and promote departmental cohesion.
- Manage, support and supervise all staff and volunteers to ensure the community hub is manned at all times. To be responsible for the effective recruitment, induction, management and development of volunteers in the community hubs. This helps the team feel valued, motivated, happy and supported to help maximize income generation and community hub usage.
- Ensure customer service is delivered to a high standard by delivering a sensitive and professional service, being an active listener and promoting HA projects, to help create a welcoming environment for the customer and encourage donations.
- Ensure maintenance of good practice systems, policies relevant to the charity, and ensure the community hub premises comply with all relevant legislation, to minimize the exposure to risk through, deliver safe practice.
- To strategically work with community hub coordinator by contributing to relevant trends/initiatives and contributing with opportunistic ideas to support in maximizing the success of the community hubs and to meet the relevant strategic operational goals.
- To ensure the community hub has a high standard of display and presentation. To maximize opportunities to publicize all Human Appeal fundraising activities in the community hub and in the local community.
- Providing customers with general assistance and information, liaising with other internal areas of the business so that the donation can be arranged and delivered on time.
- Arrange and participate in meetings, conferences and team activities by traveling nationally, liaising with other community hub officers, knowledge sharing to acquire new ideas. To help remain competitive with other charities and local activities to increase income generation potential.
- Complete all necessary progress reports as specified by the Community hub Manager ensuring they are updated on any extraordinary issues to create transparency and implement contingency plans.
- Deliver a broad portfolio of engaging community work (such as visiting ISOCs, community walks, henna sessions, etc) with an intended return on promotion/investment.
- Participate/attend an agreed number of events to bring energy to the community hub all for the purpose of creating a community hub vibe.
