Midland Mencap is looking to recruit a **Coordinator **to support to staff to continue to deliver and promote our social, leisure and recreational activity (wellbeing) service across Birmingham.

**What** Does A Coordinator Do?**:
The coordination and delivery of quality and well received sports and recreational wellbeing activities & events for people of all abilities across Birmingham. Responsible for activity participants, staff, sessional staff, volunteers and the maintaining and developing partnerships bringing, people, organisations, and services together through the Community Hub.

This role will require you to complete and review risk assessments for activities at venues/locations across the Birmingham and carry out regular audits of both adapted and mainstream equipment. Good diary management is important too, with the need to organise meetings.

This role involves lots of problem solving skills to ensure we achieve outcomes for the citizens we support. There’s a need to be responsible, confident, and tactful in how you approach tasks and the broad range of citizens, families, and professionals you will encounter in the course of your duties.

With the support of experienced Managers, you’ll need to be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a wider team and able to maintain comprehensive digital records.
