About the role
- As Utilities Administrator you will be responsible for booking works to be carried out on behalf of our many clients. In this role you will liaise with both internal and external clients with queries on the contract, and the team of experienced Engineers. Together we constantly work to make our customer service the best in industry.
You will be actively encouraged and given full support in achieving your aims and you will be given the opportunity to make a real and tangible difference to the business.
As a Utilities Administrator you will join a small, friendly group.

About your experience
- Skills
- Previous experience in the utilities sector essential
- Good level of I.T. literacy alongside a willingness and ability to learn and use various new systems.
- Concise and accurate typing skills.
- Solid communication skills.
- Able to take ownership of and manage your workload effectively.
- Self-starter, determined and hard working.
- Able to identify better ways of working, the courage to challenge the established working methods, and the confidence to take forward your ideas where appropriate.

About your daily duties
- Daily Whereabouts (Operatives)
- Programme updates with new and existing works
- Requesting and building job packs from contractors
- Ipad updates - Work Instructions, Cable Drawings, Photos and Safedig Packs
- Planning and programming work, inc permit requests to client, opening and closing permits
- Issuing Purchase Orders
- Order Aggregates and Materials
- Preparing wages timesheets for operatives weekly
- Liaison with clients and customers
- Submitting costs for jobs and updating works management systems

What makes this role unique?
You will be responsible for allocating, and coordinating work orders, through liaison with Site Supervisors and/or Direct Service Providers. You will also be required to carry out general administration task and managing stock of various materials, ensuring all materials and plant are in place for the upcoming programmed works.
Full training will be given.
