The role is based at City Hospital working Monday to Friday with core hours of 0800-1600.

Part time/Job share will be considered.

This post offers flexible working with the option of hybrid working fulfilling duties both on and off site.

We are in the process of expanding and reorganising the structure of the Administration team.

Main duties of the job

Previous experience of working within a multidisciplinary team would advantageous and you will need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of cancer pathways alongside showcasing your motivation and reliability. You must be able to understand and accurately convey verbal and written information and remain calm under pressure.

Person specification

Training & Qualifications

Essential criteria
- To be educated to ‘O’ level, GCSE or equivalent standard including English at Grade C.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.

Desirable criteria
- EDCL or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

Communication

Essential criteria
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with staff and the public at all levels.
- Ability to deal tactfully and efficiently with a wide range of people e.g. Patients, visitors, medical staff in a helpful manner.
- Ability to work as part of a team and quickly adapt to changing situations.

Analytical & judgement skills

Essential criteria
- Uses judgement to make decisions in order to solve problems / enquiries
- Plan and organises own time and workload, demonstrating effective use of resources and to deadlines
- Demonstrate ability to deal with competing demands

Experience

Essential criteria
- Experience of MS Office.
- Previous experience in an office environment.
- Demonstrate understanding of patient/client confidentiality

Desirable criteria
- Understanding of performance targets and the 18 week pathway
- Experience in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word & Outlook and all Trust systems

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
