About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Respiratory Assistant Technical Officer to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts. As a key member of our diagnostic team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our respiratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a range of basic routine and more complex respiratory and sleep physiological measurements to appropriate standards and in accordance with local and national guidelines.
  • Conduct basic administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping, to ensure accurate and efficient patient care.
  • Work collaboratively with our team of physiologists to deliver high-volume daily clinical workload and support each other in achieving excellent patient outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of respiratory and sleep physiology, including the collection and analysis of blood samples.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in respiratory diagnostics.
Requirements
  • GCSE grade C or above in English language, mathematics, and biology/science.
  • Experience working with the general public and in a hospital environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness and ability to stand for long periods of time.
