About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Respiratory Assistant Technical Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality respiratory and sleep diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a range of respiratory and sleep physiological measurements to appropriate standards and in accordance with local and national guidelines.
  • Conduct basic administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of respiratory and sleep physiology, including the principles of spirometry and capillary blood gas sampling.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • GCSE grade C or above in English language, mathematics, and biology/science.
  • Experience of working with the general public, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a logical and ordered approach to work.
  • Physically fit, with the ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
