If so then our new Flow Co-ordinator roles could be for you We are currently looking for a number of Flow Co-ordinators to join our existing team. The Flow Co-ordinator is an essential part of the Emergency Department team and the post holders will work alongside the Nurse and Doctor in charge in the clinical environment to ensure the delivery of a high quality service.

Tracking the progress of patients care through the department. Work in close liaison with the Nurse in Charge, nursing staff, site team and all visitors and multidisciplinary team members who attend the department. Dealing with telephone enquiries, undertaking clerical and reception duties in the department, greeting patients, visitors and other health care practitioners and referring to appropriate nurse. Carry out non-clinical assigned duties which maintain orderliness and timeliness of patients' records. Arrange the transfer of patients' records, both between department areas, wards and other hospitals. Arrange transport for patients and arrange follow up appointments as directed.

- The ED flow coordinator role manages flow through the Emergency Department, this is to ensure that patients are seen in a timely way and plans are put in place for patients and delivered efficiently.
- The post holder is responsible for providing a high standard of professional and patient focused service to a range of Trust-wide specialities and will support the function on a day-to day operational basis.
- Action day-to-day issues, ensuring resolution and escalating serious issues to management as appropriate.
- Escalate any issues and breaches of the 4 hour target to the relevant management in line with agreed escalation procedures.
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team in developing the service in line with departmental plans and Trust corporate objectives.
- Co-ordinate and provide administrative support to the relevant teams to ensure that all the relevant paperwork and clinical information is available.
