The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.

The Role

Working primarily at Crawley Down Police Workshops (but with the flexibility to cover other workshops across Surrey & Sussex when required) the successful applicant will work within the Engineering Support and Vehicle Data Team to support the maintenance and repair of the Force’s vehicles.

This admin role is fast paced, varied, requires great customer service, accuracy and the drive to work within the team to achieve the goals of the Joint Transport Service. There are many opportunities to undertake skill development courses to build on the experience that you already have.

To provide specialist support across the entire Joint Transport Service portfolio, including administration, vehicle data and vehicle equipment in an efficient, innovative and timely manner for all Stakeholders, suppliers and customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Tasks will include - Ensuring that all data related to drivers, vehicles & equipment is uploaded into the various management solutions. This involves compiling/working with large data sets, both numerical and text, creating and exporting information, graphs and reports to JTS management & staff and other stakeholders.- Completing the processes required to ensure vehicles are registered, de-registered and disposed of correctly, and managing the receipt and distribution of Notice of Intention to Prosecute (NIP) and other such charges in a timely and accurate manner.
- Creating and co-ordinating the engineering work orders and equipment servicing plans, to ensure all vehicles and related equipment are serviced, maintained & repaired in line with agreed parameters; related documentation is issued, stored and managed in accordance with the Force Data Retention Policy.
- Liaising with outside contractors to book and progress work on vehicles, accurately process purchase orders and invoices.
- Providing general administration, reception, filing, undertaking all such other duties to the grade and character of work as may be required.

- GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 9-4 (A* - C)) essential

Desirable Qualifications/Skills/Experience- Experience of interpreting data using advanced functionality in Excel, inc. pivot tables.
- NVQ in Business Management studies or Statistics
- Institute of Car Fleet Management
- Database system experience
