We are looking for a driven, motivated individual to be the first point of contact in the provision of the HR service for all managers and staff within a defined portfolio of homes, your main duties will be covering our homes in the northern regions. You will be based day to day in one of the beautiful homes in your portfolio.

To effectively deliver a high level of customer service and support by providing first line Human Resources advice and support to Managers and Homes.

The successful applicant will have robust experience in an HR Advisory role. Minimum Level 5 CIPD Qualified.

**KEY ACCOUNTABLES**:

- To provide support, coaching and advice to Managers on employee relations issues such as disciplinary, grievance and capability, ensuring advice is consistent and based on current Company policy and procedures.
- Advise on, and support consultation and implementation processes for, organisational change and reconfiguration of services within the home advising on the HR implications and making recommendation on possible ways forward.
- Support the design and delivery of HR related supervisory/people management training and development programmes for managers and staff within the company as required
- To ensure all associated documentation is correctly prepared and supplied to Managers to support effective management of their staff.
- To provide advice and support Managers in the effective management of both long term and short term frequent intermittent absence. Working with managers and HR colleagues to ensure robust systems are in place to monitor and manage staff turnover and sickness absence.
- Updating and maintaining absence management records producing a monthly spreadsheet for the senior management team and the board of Directors
- To provide advice and support to Managers and employees on family friendly policies and rights/entitlements.
- Work with the Recruitment team, supporting and progressing the Company’s Recruitment and Retention Strategy. Assisting Managers with recruitment campaigns, ensuring the effective use of the computerised recruitment tool and employing other suitable initiatives to ensure vacancies are filled effectively.
- To effectively prioritise and manage high volumes of various types of HR queries.
- To keep an up to date log of all cases and provide status updates to management as requested.
- Process and provide HR data as requested and prepare reports, to agreed standards, as and when requested.
- Maintain relevant electronic documentation and other filing systems.
- To undertake ad hoc projects as requested.
- Work to the agreed policies and procedures to identify areas for improvement where appropriate, making recommendations to the Human Resources Manager.
- Develop partnership working with external agencies.
- Maintain the e-learning system and liaise with the e-learning provider, Training Department and Homes regarding any queries.
- To prepare and issue contracts of employment.
- Process Disclosure & Barring Service checks in line with regulatory requirements where required.
- To undertake travel as necessary to support the Homes, present HR initiatives and to attend required meetings.
