The post holder will work independently being responsible for assisting the Allied Health Professional Transformation (AHP) department in administration and secretarial duties always ensuring a professional and confidential service.

The post holder will provide and coordinate administrative and secretarial services including for example, the preparation of agendas and minutes, and any appropriate follow-up action as required. In addition, the post holder will provide project support and be responsible for managing databases.

The post holder will support a team with the management of projects by gathering information, analysing and presenting information, and undertaking enquires as and when is necessary.

Key responsibilities:

- Use their own initiative to plan own workload and work independently to solve problems as they arise and be innovative when considering the solutions
- Communicate with a range of stakeholders, answering and directing queries appropriately
- Ensure that all office functions, duties of the administration team are conducted in a timely, accurate and professional manner
- Diary management
- Full secretariat duties for meetings, e.g. preparing agendas, papers, minute taking, follow up of actions
- Drafting of correspondence
- Co-ordination and organisation of a range of events and meetings
- Maintain accurate financial records, raising purchase orders and the receipting of goods and services in a timely manner.

Essential Requirements:

- NVQ level 4 Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Experience of working in an administrative role
- Familiar and competent with Microsoft IT packages, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Desirable:

- Degree or equivalent qualification
