**Project Administrative Support Officer - Tavistock Relationships**:
**22.5 hours per week**:
**Fixed term until 31 March 2025**:
**Salary £13,850 - £15,451 (Grade 7)**:
**County Hall, Dorchester, combined with homeworking.**:
Tavistock Relationships have been funded by the Youth Endowment Fund to work in partnership with three local authorities to deliver a randomised control trial research project with children and their families experiencing relationship stress.

Dorset Council is one of these local authorities. Each local authority will refer families to the programme where they will receive one of two possible parenting interventions. It is anticipated that referrals into the programme will come mainly from Early Help Practitioners, School Staff and Social Workers.

**What you can expect to be doing**:
You will support the Project Referral and Co-ordination Officer and be responsible for all the administrative aspects of the project life cycle in support of referrals, record keeping and the data requirements of the evaluation team etc. In Dorset Council the post will sit alongside our other reducing parental conflict work currently grant funded via the Department for Work and Pensions grant and our own Transformation budget.

The quality of inter-parental relationships, specifically how parents communicate and relate to each other, is increasingly recognised as the primary influence on effective parenting practices and children's long-term mental health and future life chances.

A Referral co-ordinator will be responsible for promoting the availability of the interventions, co-ordinating all referrals as well as the case management of referred families when necessary and appropriate. As the Project Administrative Support Officer, you will support them in that activity so that the project in Dorset is administered for the duration of the 2-year project timescale and meets all the requirements set by the project partners (Tavistock Relationships and Sheffield Hallam University, who are acting as the designated Project Evaluation partners).

This is a great opportunity to be involved in an exciting new research project.

**About you**:
In undertaking this role, you will share the following values and aspirations:

- A belief in the importance of family stability and emotional security
- A commitment to social justice, inclusivity, and diversity in every area of your work
- A belief in the importance of intellectual curiosity and rigour
- An aspiration to be part of a learning community - growing understanding and being open to new ideas, developing new ways of working.
- A commitment to promoting excellence in the delivery of services.

This role will require an individual who is an experienced administrator or who has transferrable skills. You will be confident at developing partnerships with internal and external teams and organisations.

We require someone who has a pro-active and flexible approach to their work but is also highly organised. You will be a great communicator as this post will potentially include extensive liaison with a wide range of stakeholders including parents, practitioners and colleagues within the Tavistock Relationships team and the project evaluators within Sheffield Hallam University.

**Additional information**:
This is a fixed term role which is dependent on the funding from Tavistock Relationships. The project commences in March 2023 and is scheduled to last for 2 years. The post will therefore be offered on a fixed term basis ending 31 March 2025. Referrals into the programmes will end in September 2024 so the final months will be working to successfully transition the project to its conclusion.

This role is hybrid so you will be expected to be able to work from both County Hall and from home, but with an expectation that travel will also be required to attend relevant meetings.

You must have a vehicle (or transport we deem suitable) available for use as needed.

See our policy on safeguarding children and young people.

**Contact details**:
For an informal discussion about this role, please contact Lucy Johns, Commissioning & Transformation Lead, on 01305 221588 or Michael Taylor, Programme Co-ordinator, on 01305 224252.
