Crop Health and Protection (CHAP) Ltd is one of four UK Agri-Tech Centres launched under BEIS supported by Innovate UK in 2015. As a unique, independent nexus between UK government, researchers and industry, CHAP builds innovation networks to identify and accelerate the development of cutting-edge solutions to drive transformative change in sustainable crop productivity.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of projects within the CHAP portfolio through effective assurance, tracking and reporting.

To succeed in this role, you should have effective communication and stakeholder management skills. Able to assist the Portfolio Manager and Project Management Team to collaborate with Project Partners as well as various industry and academic partners, to support the delivery of our project portfolio.

You are responsible for representing the CHAP image in all activity, acting in a professional manner in dealings with Partners, project teams and government agencies.

Ultimately, the role of the Project Coordinator is to PMO whilst they ensure that CHAP projects are governed and administered correctly, in line with Innovate UK guidelines and approved Project Business Cases and Project Management Plans.

This role will require some travel to York / CHAP offices and occasional project meetings.

**Key Responsibilities**:
You will support the Project Management Team and undertake the following responsibilities:

- Set up of Project Documentation suite for new Projects.
- Organise, prepare materials for and attend project stakeholder meetings. Document and follow up on actions and decisions with stakeholders.
- Support in flight projects including meeting preparation, minute taking, updating project documentation suite, document distribution, stakeholder management.
- Ensure all documentation is maintained appropriately, including version control.
- Contribute to process continuous improvement, assist with business process reviews and update existing process documentation
- Intranet Project and IT page quarterly updates
- Maintain IT / Transformation Project Documentation for Portfolio Manager
- PMO administration support to Portfolio Manager as required
- Manage small grant projects and support internal projects

**Skills, Experience and Behaviours**:
**Essential Experience**:

- Experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role.
- Experience in creating project documentation and supporting a Project Manager
- Ability to interpret Project plans and RAID logs.
- Experience taking project meeting minutes and actions.
- Familiarity with risk management, governance principles and quality assurance.
- Liaising with external project stakeholders
- Intermediate level Excel skills.

**Desirable Experience**:

- A background in either agriculture, agri-food or research environments.
- Salesforce / CRM systems
- GDPR awareness
- Prince 2 Foundation or equivalent.
- MS Visio

**Skills**:

- Solid organisational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
- Strong stakeholder management.
- Flexible approach with problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
