**Purchasing Assistant**
Bayram Timber are the UK’s leading bespoke timber supplier to the nation’s caravan and merchant sectors. We are also part of the BSW Group, the UK’s largest forestry and timber business and member of Binderholz, Europe’s largest timber processor.
Reporting into our experienced Purchasing Manager, we are looking for a **Purchasing Assistant** to join our Hull site.
**What “wood” I be doing?**
Whilst full training will be provided and a mentor / “buddy” assigned, in the main you will be:
- Creating Purchase orders
- Processing customs entries and associated documentation
- Checking invoices and contracts
- Compiling forecasts for purchasing and allocations
- Assisting allocations with covering customer requirements
- Formulate stock statistics
- Pick up additional responsibilities to support the team.
- Produce cutting specifications
**What skills “wood” I need?**
It is important that you:
- have MS Office experience and be IT ‘savvy’ (good level of Excel is vital)
- have a high level of accuracy in your work
- have strong numeracy skills
- are an excellent communicator
- pride yourself on having strong organisational skills
- are good at time management and are self-motivated to achieve results
- have timber experience or an appreciation of the caravan / timber sector (Commercially aware)
**What “wood” the reward be?**
The role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday and based in our newly relocated offices in Bayram Timber, situated in Melton, North Ferriby (Hull).
The salary banding for this role is from £22,000 to £24,000, with the opportunity to develop within the business. In addition to your salary, the company offers 29 days holiday (inc. Bank Holidays), life assurance as well as access to our fantastic cashback and discount portal, Timber Treats.
