**Salary**: £90,000 - £100,000 +15% bonus
**The Company**
We are a specialist Data and Digital Transformation consultancy focused on supporting our clients in successfully delivering on their digital transformation programmes. **The Role**
Leading the creation and development of a practice, you will be accountable for the aspects of company strategy relating to your practice, help set goals and will be responsible for the flow of relevant information to the board.
Aligning with the partners, the role will include analysing the current capability with the organisation, agreeing the target state and owning the transition plan. You'll also be working with the operations team, feeding into existing processes, identifying, and implementing opportunities to optimise these processes, and developing solutions to deliver service improvements relating to your area of expertise.
In this role, you will work with agile, multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with consultants, customers, the sales team, prospective employees, and operations team members to deliver world-class services for our customers.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Company Growth & Strategy
- Growing and developing new business (in collaboration with sales) relating to your practice to ensure the team have new opportunities
Ensure your practice has representation at events and the knowledge is shared internally and externally though social and other channels
- Support the sales team in new bids, co-ordinating the provision of SME expertise from your practice
- Evaluate overall performance of your practice by gathering, analysing and interpreting data and metrics, reporting to the partners on a regular basis
- Maintain working relationships with all other practice leads to ensure effective co-ordination of all company activities in support of corporate objectives
- Working with Partner Management where necessary, develop working relationships with technology partners relevant to your practice
- Ensure consulting expectations of each partner relationship is understood and can be met by your practice
- Work with operations and recruitment team to ensure the recruitment objectives within your practice align with demand, whilst being mindful of the leverage structure
- Develop and control budgets to promote profitability within your practice and ensure the company has all the resources required to meet its objectives within agreed financial parameters
Client Engagement
- Hands on practitioner, delivering for our customer/s in your area of expertise
- Accountability for the delivery of service offerings to clients by the members in your practice
- Be available and willing to support the PMO in resolving escalations from clients relating to your team
Team Management
- Conduct regular practice meetings with consultants encouraging teamwork and a sense of direction
- Direct and oversee consulting team within your practice to ensure that they are motivated and trained to carry out their responsibilities to the required standard
- Support and nurture the company culture both in your teams and externally to ensure that Amber remains a great place to work
- Work closely with the people and culture team to support the build out of career paths and ensure your team understand their path/s of progression
- Ensuring new consultants to your team are onboarded smoothly and feel part of your practice from day one and throughout their journey with Amber Labs
- Help define and support the implementation of robust controls on recruitment to ensure that the quality within your team is upheld as we grow the team out
Ensure your current team are trained and available to host interviews and ensure that we are selecting the best people to join the organisation
Pre-Sales
- Ensure your team works closely with sales teams to understand prospective customers objectives and requirements in order to scope out and define appropriate solutions
- Help construct, review and approve project proposals (scope, level of effort estimates, and schedules) and SOWs prior to presentation to clients
- Develop out Pre-Sales demonstrations and presentations to support the selling of the services provided by your practice
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate forecasting of future client demands
- Support the timely response to assigned RFI / RFPs, ensuring the highest level of quality
