**Job Purpose**
As the Deputy Head of Registry, your goal is to enhance the student experience by collaborating with stakeholders across the institution to shape and deliver high-quality services and events and to contribute to the development of enhanced services, systems, and technology to support the management of student administration.
You will support the Head of Registry in strategic and operational planning, service development, and leadership across Registry services to ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and effective services with the shared goal of developing a culture of working together with colleagues across the University to continuously improve the student experience and aligning our practices with the best standards from across the sector.
You will provide leadership and management for a diverse portfolio of Registry services area including Student Records, Graduation and Events and Business Support.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
1.Lead and inspire your team and others to deliver excellent, efficient, and adaptable services that meet the changing needs of the University and other stakeholders.
2. Lead the planning and organization of workload priorities, set individual and/or team goals, and oversee schedules to ensure work is coordinated in line with targets and broader operational plans. Make sure that processes for student administration are effective and consistently applied across all Schools and Colleges.
4. Evaluate how well services are performing and their impact, making improvements based on feedback and changing needs. Come up with innovative solutions and provide recommendations for future service improvements.
5. Work in partnership with colleagues from Schools, Colleges, and Services to create new and improve existing services and processes that meet changing student needs and enhance the overall student experience. Ensure these changes are consistently and effectively put into practice.
6. Enhance the skills of your team, motivating and mentoring them to meet both present and future needs. Recognize potential career paths for team members and support their growth through setting objectives, providing feedback, offering coaching, and facilitating training opportunities.
7. Establish networks and foster relationships with stakeholders from other services, schools, and colleges to enable partnership working and integrate and coordinate services to improve the overall student experience.
8. Establish a practical risk management plan to identify, evaluate, track, and actively address potential risks. Keep senior stakeholders informed about progress, risks, and new issues.
9. Identify changes in policy, rules, and compliance requirements, both inside and outside the organization, that could affect our services. Manage these changes effectively by communicating, training, adjusting processes, or developing systems.
10. As a member of the Registry leadership team, play a role in shaping and delivering broader operational and strategic plans. Participate in and contribute to relevant networks, projects, and working groups to foster cooperation and work toward the university's wider objectives.
11. Other duties commensurate with grade.
