Position: HR Manager

Location: West Lancs

**Salary**: £38,000 - £42,000

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

We are working with a well-established, family owned business with approx 120 employees who are looking for a forward thinking, positive and experienced HR Manager. Managing and leading a team of 2 HR administrators, this role will report directly to theMD and will drive a positive culture which focuses on continual improvement of its business practices.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To think creatively about ways that the business can attract talented people during an extremely competitive labour market
- Implement and maintain a streamlined recruitment and on-boarding process to give Managers the best tools with which to interview, make appropriate assessment and selection, and ensure inductions are in place to give potential employees the best possiblestart in their new role.
- Provide employment law advice to Managers as required
- Provide continual mentoring, support and coaching for Managers in handling employment relation matters, including the implementation and maintenance of ongoing performance reviews and 1:1 meetings.
- To provide advice and support to employees to help them understand our policies
- To assist in improving communication across the business and provide a central method of communicating change across the business in a consistent and reliable way.
- To maintain and update all HR related policies, practices and processes ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- To lead the way on projects with Managers that positively contribute towards building a strength based culture and develop initiatives which inspire and motivate.
- To bring a fresh perspective and drive initiatives that focus on employee retention
- To be at the forefront of enforcement and conformance of the Company's rules and procedures
- Oversee the management of time and attendance systems
- Oversee payroll duties
- To provide a central and up to date accurate record of information relevant to the employee life cycle
- Work collaboratively with all managers on matters of health and safety
- Line manage, support and develop members of the HR team
- Attend and contribute constructively to regular Manager Meetings, offering insight and a HR perspective

**Key Skills - Required**
- CIPID Level 5 (Level 7 Desirable)
- Have previous management experience in a similar role (3-5 years)
- Highly organised
- A strong and confident communicator
- Strong understanding of IT systems
