NET-A-PORTER are now seeking a talented Senior Merchandiser to join the team. Reporting into the Merchandising Manager, you will be tasked with supporting in all aspects of the merchandising process to plan, forecast and trade a department, which ties in with the business’ strategic direction, maximizing the profit opportunities for the company. - Work with Buying Director and Merchandising Manager to create and deliver annual strategy-
- Constantly review seasonal trade and communication of trade to the business-
- Act as key point of contact with internal teams for trade analysis and actions across departments-
- Wholly own and manage In season top line OTB-
- Establish and foster brand relationships-
- Challenge the Merchandising Manager and Merchandising processes to ensure the team is working efficiently and effectively to support the business-
- Work with internal teams to develop working processes in line with team growth e.g. MIS, Operations, Tech-
- Understand and communicate company growth targets, future plans and ventures to the team-
- Deputize for Merchandising Manager-
- Mentor new Merchandisers to the business-
- Recruit a high caliber of individual to the team in line with business values and with potential to be future leadersThe type of person we are looking for:
- Extensive experience in fashion retail merchandising, with an understanding of multi-brand-
- A track record of creating positive impact on business through merchandising-
- Strong leadership skills, setting benchmark for high performing individuals within the company-
- Confidence, assertiveness and persuasion, a real team player - able to build and develop relationships with other internal teams for business improvement-
- Strong negotiation skills-
- Confidence in suggesting calculated risks-
- Demonstrated innovation in commercial thinking - supporting departmental efficiency, improvements and growth needs-
- A passion for product, with good brand awareness- _
