Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Media and Public Relations Director to lead our Global Communications and PR team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans to promote our brand and business messages across various earned media channels.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Global Communications and PR Team: Oversee the development and implementation of strategic communications plans to promote our brand and business messages.
- Develop and Approve Press Materials: Create and approve all press materials, releases, campaigns, and products before sharing with in-house PR teams and agencies.
- Build Strategic Vision: Develop and maintain a clear understanding of our brand's messaging and communication pillars.
- Formulate Communication Strategies: Create and implement communication strategies for our global in-house PR teams and agencies.
- Lead Discussions and Communication Plans: Collaborate with key brand partners to ensure PR support for exclusives and launches.
- Strategize Story Angles: Develop sharp, newsworthy story angles informed by our brand launches and key messages.
- Work with Internal Spokespeople: Ensure press readiness, thorough briefings, background research, quote preparation, and media coaching for internal spokespeople.
- Liaise with Corporate Communications: Align brand, business, and spokesperson messaging with other YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP messaging, business considerations, and calendars.
- Champion Corporate and Social Responsibility: Define opportunities for our brand to express its values through programs that support overall Group programming.
- Act as Central Touch Point: Serve as a key central touch point for information from internal stakeholders.
- Lead Team on Events: Oversee all UKEU NET-A-PORTER events, including PR, venue scouting, creative concepting, managing sign-offs, guestlist curation, talent dressing, and other event aspects.
- Engage and Manage External Agencies: Collaborate with external UK-based PR agencies when relevant.
- Senior PR Position Experience: Previous experience operating in a senior PR position in the luxury fashion industry.
- Brand Reputation and Corporate Comms Experience: Proven experience in brand reputation and corporate communications.
- Luxury Fashion Industry Understanding: Developed understanding of the luxury fashion industry in the digital space.
- Competitive Fashion Media Awareness: Interest and awareness of competitive fashion media and brand environment.
- Media, Online Marketing, and Ecommerce Experience: Experience with media, online marketing, and/or ecommerce marketing strategies.
- Strong Communications Skills: Strong communications skills, with the ability to present ideas and strategy with high impact.
- Events Management Experience: Experience with events management.
