We have an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to take their first step into HR and join us as a HR Support Apprentice on a fixed term contract whilst they complete a level 3 CIPD qualification with Weston College.

Role Summary

**What will you be doing?**

You will cover a range of services that span the full employee lifecycle including responding to employee queries, providing advice and support to colleagues on general HR matters, producing high quality documentation for starters, changes and leavers, onboarding new starters and accurately maintaining HR systems and intranet pages.

**Key job accountabilities**:

- Providing an excellent customer service on all queries coming into the HR team
- Provide first-line advice on all HR policy/procedure/ systems queries
- Be the face of IOP Publishing for new colleagues joining the company and supporting with first-day inductions
- Ensuring all HR-related documentation and data is accurate and updated on time
- Coordination and administering HR processes including; onboarding, benefits, sickness absence, contract changes, holiday calculations and right to work.

**About you**:
The successful applicants should demonstrate the following:

- Previous experience of working in an administrative role would be advantageous
- Previous experience of MS office 365 technology
- Any prior HR / Payroll / Recruitment experience would be desirable but not essential
- Customer focus approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail and methodological approach
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Keen to learn
