Finance Administrator

RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with a family-run business established in 2002. We are a wholesaler, distributor, importer, and brand owner based in Glasgow.
We have long-standing relationships with manufacturers and traders that allow us to access a wide range of products. Our customer base is large and diverse both in the UK and around the world.
**Your main responsibilities would be**:
- Nominal ledger processing
- Sales and purchase ledger processing
- Preparation of supplier payments
- Dealing with customers & suppliers to resolve queries
- Process monthly accruals and prepayments journals
- Assist in maintaining the Fixed Asset Register
- Assist with monthly and quarterly reconciliations
- Assist in preparation and submission of quarterly VAT return
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned by management
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to take responsibility
- Confidence and strong interpersonal skills
- First-class communication skills both written and verbal
- Knowledge of all roles within the Finance department
- IT literacy - Excel and Word processing
- Experience with SAP, QuickBooks, or other similar accounting software
- Possess a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
