**The Role Housing Support Officer**

College Road, Bangor is a scheme consisting of 3 self-contained flats providing support and accommodation to 3 people who have lived a chaotic life and have extensive needs. You will create support plans based on individual needs whilst helping them to find somewhere more permanent to live.

Youll support people with their housing needs and life skills in a person-centred, trauma informed way and contribute to the safe running of the hostel. This will involve:

- Supporting service users with mental health and wellbeing, by encouraging healthy activities and lifestyles, and signposting to services
- Assisting with claims for housing and associated benefits to support residents financial stability
- Organising and managing a range of engaging activities to promote social inclusion
- Playing a hands-on role in responding to incidents, completing safety checks and ensuring properties are maintained
- Maintaining accurate service user records and files
- Performing regular security and fire safety checks

**The Package**
- Permanent contract
- Salary of £24,936 per annum

**Our Requirements Housing Support Officer**
- To be able to speak Welsh to at least a level 3.
- Experience working in a client centred environment such as housing, care or similar (e.g., supporting individuals in reporting maintenance issues, making healthcare appointments, pursuing hobbies, securing training and employment, etc.) for individuals suffering or recovering from mental illness.
- Experience of supporting people to make benefit claims.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Hard working, with a positive can do attitude.
- At least have basic IT skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
