Do you like to make a difference to a user’s experience of clinical systems? Do you have the knowledge and the expertise to support users? If so, the Information Team is looking for one, full time Senior Support Officer to join our enthusiastic, motivated and forward thinking team.

At BCU Health Board we believe that data helps save lives and improve outcomes for patients. Working with doctors and nurses to understand what matters for their patients the Information Department has developed analytics that help our clinicians make better decisions and improve their services.

This post is fixed term until 31/10/2023 due to meet the needs of the service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

As we continue our journey to implement a single Patient Administration System (PAS) across the three areas of our Health Board we are looking to bolster our team with additional posts that can help us meet the complex challenge.

We are seeking an enthusiastic professional to undertake the role of Senior Support Officer within our PAS Information Team. For data to be trusted for decision making it needs to be accurate.

This important role will help ensure the quality of data which is migrated across to the new solution is accurate, whilst also ensuring the solution is fit for purpose via robust user acceptance testing and defect identification and resolution.

Testing will take place for several solutions including, Welsh Patient Administration System (WPAS), Attend Anywhere (AA) and Welsh Immunisation System (WIS). Knowledge of these systems would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be given. The post holder will also be required to carry out a system support role following implementation.

We are looking for someone who is keen to learn, numerate and curious with great attention to detail and the ability to absorb lots of new information. We offer a full induction and training package, flexible working hours and good future career opportunities. But most of all we are proud of our fantastic team ethic, all pulling together to make a difference.

If you relish a challenge, have a passion to help others or simply fancy a fresh start, then Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales, has all the right ingredients. The largest health organisation in Wales, providing a full range of primary, community, mental health, acute and elective hospital services for a population of around 700,000, across North Wales. Join our team and get the support you need, in line with our Organisational Values and ‘Proud to Lead’ competence framework.
