Community Childrens Clinical Support Worker

Our ethos is to care for Children, Young People (CYP) and their Families ensuring access to education, respite care facilities and most importantly their own homes.
We are recruiting Clinical Support Workers (CSW) who are compassionate, enthusiastic, and ready to adapt to meet the needs of the CYP and their families. We work, day shifts, night shifts, evenings, and weekends to ensure we provide personalised care and support at the right place at the right time covering 744sqm and a 24/7 service.
Our ever-growing team provides services from Cystic Fibrosis, Play Therapy, CYP Continuing Care, Palliative Care and Transition.
We would love to hear from experienced CSW’s or those who care for children in external settings. Working within complex care, no two day will be the same. Your role is to meet the childrens care needs whilst ensuring children can still be children. We have development pathways and encourage lifelong learning. Our in-house Education Team ensure you are confident and competent in care skills including Technology dependency equipment, complex care, and moving and handling. Our out of hours service offers guidance and confidence throughout the 24/7 service.

The Band 3 Clinical Support Worker will undertake high quality compassionate care and associated duties under the direction but not direct supervision of the registered nurse and will also be working as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
As a Band 3 Clinical Support Worker you make a valuable and important contribution to the delivery of safe high quality healthcare. You will be caring for children and young people (CYP) with complex health care needs this includes those who require ventilation support.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required**:
To work under the direction of the Community Children’s Nursing Team
- Clinical Lead and qualified nurses within the children’s community nursing
teams.
To work closely with the children, carers, education and voluntary staff
being sensitive to their wishes and needs, to promote child centred care
as a priority.
To contribute to providing care and monitoring the health of CYP including
hygiene, mobility comfort and nutritional needs enhancing their ability to
access their educational provision and leisure activities.
To accurately and promptly carry out the instructions of the registered
professional who is professionally accountable for the delivery of care.
