**Description of Department**:
The National Disruptive Effects Unit is a funded unit that oversees the development, delivery and assurance of Disruptive Effects tactics across the UK and Internationally. The unit works in close collaboration with a number of strategic partners including CT Policing, National Protective Security Agency and UK Police forces, UK Border Force. Key products that the unit are responsible for include Project Servator and See, Check, and Notify (SCaN). The unit coordinates the training across the UK, works with partners to research and development new tactics and quality assure the delivery of tactics through in person monitoring and the analysis of data.

**KEY TASKS**:

- Provide logístical support to the management of Disruptive Effects courses nationwide and overseas. This includes managing joining instructions for courses, coordinating resources and practical requirements for the trainers.

- Collating and assessing course feedback and feeding this back into the continual development of course structure.
- Maintain and update key contact databases for UK and Overseas forces and act as a point of contact for the team.
- Undertake preparation and support for workshops, meetings and training and development events.
- To provide secretariat and business assistance to NDEU team, which includes minuting meetings, diary management, making travel arrangements and the organisation of meetings with internal departments and outside agencies.
- Organisation and coordination of all national and local meetings.
- Provide general administrative support within NDEU. This will include routine administrative activities such as the purchase of services and equipment, monitoring stationery and submitting orders.
- Arrange and manage new starter onboarding and induction procedures including acquisition of IT and other equipment.
- To maintain oversight and records of expenditure to support budget management.
- To attend seminars and meetings as may be required.
- To support communications with Project Servator forces, including monthly and quarterly newsletter updates.
- To be responsible for the compiling and collating of statistics as may be required.
- To undertake ongoing training and professional development, appropriate to the effective and timely discharge of the duties of the post.

**ESSENTIAL**:

- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to work proactively with minimum supervision in a pressurised environment.
- High degree of flexibility in moving between tasks and roles as business priorities dictate.
- Ability to communicate at all levels, within and outside the organisation.
- High level of IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and MS Teams, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Ability to deal tactfully, discreetly and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

**DESIRABLE**:

- Experience of working with budgets.
- Experience of supporting communications both internally and externally.
