Administrative Assistant/receptionist

We are looking to appoint an Administrative Assistant /Receptionist within our busy Cardiac Rehabilitation department. Our department provides follow
- up appointments for patients following their cardiac event as well as providing Phase III and IV exercise sessions.
The post holder will need to undertake general administrative and reception duties and must possess excellent communication skills, both face to face and over the telephone. Good computer and database skills are essential, and the post holder will need to be organised in administrative duties.
The post is part-time (11.25 hours per week) and will involve some cross-site working.
To provide comprehensive administrative, clerical and receptionist support to the department/area of work, in order to maintain an efficient and effective service.

- To undertake general reception duties including inputting of departmental information and updating database systems as and when required.
- To co-ordinate and ensure that the relevant case notes are available for designated clinic/department/area as required.
- To set up and check clinic schedules using the appropriate departmental database/diary system, as well as cancelling and moving clinics as per instructions from clinical staff.
- To generate and distribute all appointment letters relevant to clinic/department/area as required.
- To receive patients, visitors and telephone enquiries to the department, and deal with any subsequent action as appropriate.
