Sales Ledger Administrator

Overview:
We are a successful, established, and constantly growing company. We are recruiting a Sales Ledger Administrator/ Credit Control Manager to join our small but well-balanced and focused finance team based in Paisley.
The purpose of this role is to ensure that balances owed by customers are collected and accounted for in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring that risks of overdue and non-payment are minimised through effective credit control management.
**Responsibilities**:
- Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices
- Resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes with customers
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and communication with customers
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any customer issues or concerns related to credit and collections
- Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customers
- Set credit limits and terms for customers based on their credit history and financial stability
- Prepare reports on accounts receivable status and ageing analysis for management review
- Assist in the development and implementation of credit control policies and procedures
**Skills**:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to build rapport with customers and maintain positive relationships
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
- Knowledge of credit control principles and practices
- Strong analytical skills to assess customer creditworthiness
