Systems Administrator/ Client Record Trainer - Cardiff Council
We are looking for a **Systems Admin & Client Record Trainer **will be based at:
To provide technical support to maintain, develop and manage the administration of the Children’s Services client record system (currently CareFirst; to be Eclipse).
To identify client record system solutions to operational, performance and information requirements.
To support and advise on the production of client record system training materials.
Job Specific
To assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Children’s Services client record system, including:
Systems administration and maintenance
Systems support and helpdesk
Systems and data auditing
System testing and development
Testing of new and upgraded functionality
To maintain the client record system and liaise with users to ensure data is entered consistently and accurately and to monitor compliance of users to agreed standard practices.
To support the Children’s Services client record system helpdesk, ensuring all calls are responded to within prescribed timescales and that patterns of problems can be detected.
To provide advice, support and encourage confidence and enthusiasm in staff to develop their own knowledge and skills in their use of the client record system ensuring they keep within the required processes and guidelines on a daily basis.
To display data in a meaningful format that can be readily understood by staff undertaking data cleansing exercises. This will include clear explanations of what data needs to be updated and how the information should be updated.
To assist with the management and administration of the client record system to meet statutory, corporate, directorate and individual needs in the most efficient and effective manner.
To liaise with ICT and ensure that support issues are escalated to the provider as necessary.
To undertake operational and administrative duties as necessary to ensure the efficient running of the client record system.
To support working / user groups as required.
To deliver training on the client record system to Children’s Services staff and assist in the maintenance of the live / test / train databases.
To ensure that staff and managers at all levels across Children’s Services are provided with the appropriate training as required by the Directorate.
Deliver high quality training on the client record system to targeted groups throughout Children’s Services.
Undertake the delivery of training through various mediums, e.g. online (Microsoft Teams) / e-learning / face to face with groups and individuals. Group sizes are varied.
Maintain course training material, training plans and processes maps taking into account the introduction of new procedures and/or new equipment / technology.
Be responsible for the maintenance, analysis and reporting of course evaluation returns.
Work with the client record system provider where required.
Work closely with the Assistant System Administrator and Helpdesk staff to gain an understanding of their roles and offer cover when required at both levels.
Actively participate in projects, as an individual and working with other staff, to contribute to the development of the team’s functionality and expertise.
