Office Administrator

We are looking for an administrator to help our busy studio run smoothly, and and to serve as the point of contact between customers and our repair team. You will be highly organised, a great communicator, and excited to join a small, friendly team in a locally-owned repair business
**Roles and Responsibilities**:
**Customer service**:
- Manage a busy inbox of customer enquiries
- Book toys in for repair and take payments
- Answer phone calls and messages across our social media channels
- Help customers at the door
- Serve as point of contact between customers and our repair team, communicating questions and repair status updates and escalating queries as necessary
**Administrative**:
- Check toys in and out, including photographing toys and updating our internal database
- Pack up completed toys and walk them to the post office
- Monitor queue of toys and liaise with repair staff to prioritise work as needed
- Organise Saturday Surgery day repairs and other quick turnarounds
- Check and process merchandise orders
- Manage the re-homing of donated toys
- Maintain stock of office supplies
- Manage receipts and petty cash
- Work with other staff to continually improve internal processes and procedures
**Person Specification**
- Have previous experience working in customer-facing and administrative roles, with demonstrable ability to provide high-quality service
- Be highly organised, with a high level of attention to detail and strong time management skills. The job requires juggling priorities, working efficiently, and managing your own task load.
- Have very strong interpersonal skills. You will be the central point of communication across the business, and main point of contact for customers.
- Have excellent written and spoken English.
- Be sensitive and confident in dealing with emotionally significant objects, and customers who represent a wide range of ages and abilities.
- Be diligent in following finance procedures.
- Have strong computer literacy and a willingness to use new software.
- Be able to adapt to change in a growing business.
- Use initiative to improve internal procedures.
**About Us**:
Leith Toy Hospital is a growing business repairing around 100 toys per month from across the UK and further afield. Currently made up of a team of 10 members of staff, we take pride in completing toy repairs to a high standard, and in seeing happy customers
