We are seeking to appoint a Student Administrator who will work as part of the Student Administration team on a range of activities supporting students and staff within the University. You will have excellent IT skills, communication skills, organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines, whilst working to a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. You will have experience of working within an administration team and be familiar with Microsoft Office, Access etc.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is essential for this post.

Overview
- To be part of a flexible team of student administrators working across the University’s student administration hubs, in order to provide consistent, high quality centralised student administration functions for students.- To contribute to the continuous improvement of services for students in line with the strategic priorities of the University and taking into account the needs of the diverse student body.Main

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with the Teaching Administration Officers and other team members to undertake a variety of administration tasks across a range of locations based on operational requirements.- To be an active member of the Student Administration function, building & maintaining good working relationships with colleagues in central Services Departments and in Schools/Colleges to ensure an understanding of priorities and impact across the different areas of the service.-
- Contribute to the development of, and work to, agreed service standards for the team.- To contribute to the development and embedding of new workflows and working practices within the team, Specific Functional duties (dependent on Hub and location).- Under the supervision of the Teaching Administration Officers plan and prioritise own work activities to support the delivery of an efficient and effective support service for staff and students across the Institution.- Respond to queries, answering where able to do so and referring on to the appropriate person(s) as and when necessary.- Responsible for the administration of all submitted coursework (i.e., follow up on non submission of work etc).- Responsible for the administration of examinations (e.g., preparation of exam papers, liaison with School External Examiners, entering of marks, etc).- Responsible for the arrangements for students with exam adjustments.- Liaison with academic staff and the Timetable Unit to enable the production of a coherent teaching timetable for Schools and Colleges.- Liaison with academic staff and the University’s Exams & Graduation Team to enable the production of coherent exam timetables and graduation schedules.- Responsible for the production of exam board reports and Mitigating /Concession Board reports for Schools.- To provide advice and guidance to students/staff in relation to established policies and regulations. These may be issues that have been escalated from front line staff.- Support the administration of taught programmes across the Institution, including, but not restricted to: Pre-registration, and gazette updates, module ‘upkeep’ in electronic format, dealing with Blackboard queries, setting up of module evaluations, online enrolment including module choice, etc.- Assist with University events such as open days, registration, enrolment, ID checking events and graduation.- Undertake other such duties commensurate with the grade and at other Bangor University locations as directed by line management.Other
