We are seeking to appoint a Timetable Administrator who will work as a member of the Student Administration team to provide effective support to the Timetable Unit, with a particular emphasis on supporting the provision of the teaching timetable for the new North Wales Medical School.

Educated to A level or equivalent level qualification and/or possess equivalent experience.

Main

**Responsibilities**:

- To assist with the production of the North Wales Medical School timetables within the deadlines agreed, under the direction of and with the assistance of the Timetable Officer.- Collate timetabling requirements for the North Wales Medical School using the My Bangor Timetabling Requirements system where possible.- Allocate rooms for the teaching and assessment of the North Wales Medical School in conjunction with the demand for teaching requirements and ensure adequate and objective space allocation.- Process ad hoc room bookings for the North Wales Medical School owned rooms.- Identify and resolve timetabling conflicts within the North Wales Medical School, liaising with academic staff as necessary and keeping the Timetable Officer informed of any difficulties.- Provide a high level of accuracy in data input on the CMIS timetabling software taking responsibility for checking own work.- Prioritise personal workloads and working on own initiative to ensure that deadlines are met.- To contribute to the development and embedding of new workflows and working practices within Student Administration.- Undertake other such duties commensurate with grade and at other Bangor University locations as directed by your line manager.- As a member of the Student Administration Team, it is expected that you may be required to participate in events that fall under the remit of that Team which include, but are not restricted to events such as, ID checking and enrolment, graduation, examinations and Open Days.Other

Qualifications/Training

Essential:

- Educated to A level or equivalent level qualification and/or possess equivalent experience.- A high degree of computer literacy with demonstrable experience of using databases and student records/timetabling systems (e.g., Banner, MyBangor).- Demonstrable experience of working with the student timetable software (CMIS) to produce coherent teaching timetables.- An understanding of working with spreadsheets and databases - Experience of working as a member of a team.- Experience of developing and implementing administrative systems and procedures.- Experience of assisting with the collection and analysis of student data.Desirable:

- Educated to Degree level or equivalent qualificationExperience/Knowledge

Essential:

- Experience of dealing with queries and providing information to students and academic staff.- An understanding of, and the ability to interpret, regulations and procedures.- An understanding of legislative requirements relating to equality, data protection and freedom of information.- An understanding of complex and specialist information (relevant to area of work) and the ability to interpret and explains this to non specialists.Desirable:
