Records Administrator

We are seeking to appoint a Records Administrator (full time, 12 months) who will work as part of the Student Administration team, with primary responsibility for the maintenance of student records for students following HEIW commissioned courses in the School of Health Sciences and the North Wales Medical School.
You will have excellent IT skills, communication skills, organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines, whilst working to a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. You will have experience of working within an administration team and be familiar with Microsoft Office, Access etc.

Purpose of the Job
To work as part of the Student Administration Team, with primary responsibility for the maintenance of student records for students following HEIW commissioned courses in the School of Health Sciences and the North Wales Medical School. To oversee the embedding of new workflows and working practices within the area of student administration. To take responsibility for the ongoing development of the processes for the permanent withdrawal or temporary suspension due to either personal circumstances or academic failure of students following HEIW commissioned courses in the School of Health Sciences and the North Wales Medical School

**Responsibilities**:
- Work closely with the Student Administration Manager (Records, Data & Placements), Student Records Officer, and the rest of the team, to ensure the provision of a flexible and responsive student administration service that ensures an excellent student experience and is responsive to the needs of the University and the diverse student body.- Contribute to the development of Key Performance Indicators or service standards for the team and monitor and report on these to the Head of Student Administration.- Develop effective collaborative work relationships within Student Services and across the University in order to develop best practice in meeting the needs of the University and its diverse student body.- Work closely with colleagues in IT Services working on the development of systems and processes.- Ensure that all regulatory and university policies and regulations are adhered to and that information is held in accordance with those regulations Specific Functional duties- Take operational responsibility for the processing of temporary suspensions, withdrawals, recommencements for students on Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) commissioned programmes within the School Health Sciences and North Wales Medical School.- Provide guidance and training to other members of their Student Administration Team in relation to the maintenance and accuracy of student records.- To be responsible for the checking and enhancement of student data quality, ensuring that the records for those students who request periods of temporary suspension, are updated both at the point of exit and the point of return.- Take responsibility for the maintenance of records for those students who are not eligible to progress due to academic and/or clinical failure, ensuring that the BU rules and regulations are followed when allowing students to resume their studies.- To be responsible for the ongoing development of record systems and processes to better fit the needs of the HEIW commissioned programmes.- To be responsible for reporting student registration statuses to Student Awards Service (SAS) in relation to HEIW bursaries, amendments, and revisions to student bursary accounts. Liaise with the Finance Office to ensure records are correct for the payment of HEIW bursaries.- To be responsible for reporting student registration statuses to Student Finance, amendments and revisions to Student Finance accounts.- To be the point of contact for the HEIW Student Award Services.- To be the point of contact for student and academic staff with queries about registration status changes for HEIW commissioned programmes, HEIW bursaries, and Student Finance.- Undertake other such duties commensurate with grade and at other Bangor University locations as required by your line manager. As a member of the Student Administration Team it is expected that all staff will assist with additional duties that fall within the remit of the Team, including, but not restricted to - Registration and ID checking, examinations, graduation, etc.Other
