This is an exciting opportunity to join our new Student Support & Wellbeing Administration team. The post holder will join a team of experienced administrators who are key to the efficient delivery and co-ordination of student support services, including Disability Services, International Student Support, Wellbeing Service and Student Support. The role will deliver a diverse range of work - from providing initial guidance and signposting, allocating appointments across service areas, supporting courses and workshops, updating information and promotional materials, as well as a broad range of administrative duties. The role holder will be committed to delivering excellent customer service, offering a calm and supportive first point of contact for Student Support & Wellbeing to students, staff and members of the public.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is essential for this post.

Purpose of the Job

The Student Support & Wellbeing Administrator supports the Student Support & Wellbeing Administration Hub Manager in the efficient operation of a busy reception, the overall administration and co-ordination of services.

This includes being the first point of contact for Student Support & Wellbeing, allocating appointments across service areas, supporting courses and workshops, working to ensure the full inclusion of all students within academic and social communities at Bangor University. The role requires the post holder to understand the importance of recognising and responding appropriately to presenting risk.

The post will also take responsibility for a specific area of administration and support within the Administration Hub Team.

**Responsibilities**:
- Provide initial information and guidance on complex processes and procedures.- Provide accurate information and guidance, based on a sound knowledge of university student support, making effective referrals as appropriate.- Contribute to the management of complex service diaries, making appointments for students according to prioritised need.- Accurately input data into specialist databases used for collating statistical information of a confidential nature.- Input, update and maintain data within specialist databases ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.- Contribute to the production and distribution of Student Support & Wellbeing publicity and leaflets; paper-based and electronic.- Assist with groups, workshops and courses this may involve developing programme publicity.- Monitor and maintain stocks of specialist resources.- Provide general administrative support to Student Support & Wellbeing teams, as led by the Administrative Hub Lead.- Any other duties appropriate to the grade as required by line management.Other

- Qualifications / Training_

- Experience of providing an excellent supportive client / customer reception function.- Experience of working within an office / administrative environment.- Experience of using a range of administrative systems and procedures.- Understanding of confidentiality and Data Protection Act requirements with experience of recording student data and other confidential information securely and in line with legislation.- Understanding of and commitment to a model of student support that promotes the independence of our students in order to best prepare them for their future study or career goals.- General understanding of the barriers faced by students presenting with a wide range of complex needs.- General experience of responding to issues of safeguarding and risk.
