To provide a flexible and comprehensive administrative support to ensure the
smooth and effective running of operations across the Student Casework Team

**Key Responsibilities**
**and Accountabilities**:
A variety of administrative tasks including:

- Organise, maintain and continuously review office systems to ensure that

the processes and procedures are effective and appropriate to the support
function.
- Act as officer for ad hoc meetings as required including recording,

producing and distributing accurate minutes and transcriptions
- Administer the Academic Misconduct Awareness Course

including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Develop knowledge and skills

- Use business systems and reports, analyse and transfer data for the

purpose of monitoring and audit.
- Maintain a range of administrative processes and procedures that support

the Academic Registry Service including, filing, scanning, copying, typing,
distribution of post, procurement of stationery and stock monitoring.
- To act as an ambassador for the Academic Registry at all times, ensuring

that all aspects of the role demonstrate a commitment to developing and
delivering customer focused services, based on an understanding of our
customer’s needs and expectations.
- Any other duties within the scope and general nature of the grade which

may be required.

**Duties include**:

- Be responsible for the smooth administration of the Academic

Misconduct Awareness course
- Support the preparation of cases for Academic Misconduct Panels
- Input, check and process of information on SITS
- Input, check and process information on the Casework Management

system
- Arrange interviews with students and staff for the Casework Investigator
- Support the Casework Investigator by taking minutes of interviews or

transcribing recordings
- Source information for the Casework Team such as Module and

Programme Guides, student attendance records, transcripts etc.
- Update the Casework section of My Sunderland
- Assist Academic Misconduct Panels and Academic Appeals Panels by

organising meetings, preparation and distribution of papers and any follow
up actions.

- A good standard of basic education including GCSE English and Maths
- or equivalent experience- Extensive expertise in use of IT systems and software

**Knowledge and Experience**:

- Experience of working in an office based environment including- Excellent inter-personal skills
- Experience of dealing with a variety of customers
- Extensive experience of working with a range of electronic business
- systems and software packages including Microsoft Office- Experience of developing and implementing processes
- Ability to use own initiative
- The ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise a demanding
- workload whilst working under pressure- The ability to deliver documents to a high standard of presentation
