**Transport Administrator (Part-Time)**:
**Monday to Friday 10am - 14.00 (some flex) 20 hrs per week**:
Birmingham Business Park - B37
With a head office based centrally in Birmingham, BCA logistics is a provider of vehicle inspection, collection & delivery services within the automotive supply chain on a nationwide basis. Typically operating at end of vehicle contract BCA Logistics inspects & collects in excess of 600, 000 vehicles per annum making it the largest provider of these services within the sector with further growth planned.
We are looking for an experienced administrator who is looking to work part time hours.
**Purpose of Job**:
Organising the day to day collection and delivery of vehicles to designated location
**Responsibilities**:
- Monitor haulier activity on a daily basis ensuring all subcontractors are providing collection and delivery information to the department in a timely manner.
- Day to day contact with transport contractors ensuring that service levels are maintained in the field.
- Build strong working relationships with contractors and field operatives
- Pay an active role in supporting other departments within Central Transport when requested. This may include holiday cover.
- Respond to internal and external transport enquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Take responsibility for accuracy in system use.
- Ensure that POD’s are added to the system daily as they arrive if manual. Also ensuring additional detail surrounding movements is recorded on the system accurately.
- Manual collation of collection and delivery paperwork.
- Play an active part in the team responsibility to deliver company objectives
- Take a collective responsibility for operational requirements of the department under the direction of the Transport Manager
**Basic Experience/Skills required**
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Experience of building relationships
- Computer literate
- Ability to work on own initiative
