DB Schenker is seeking a talented Business Development Manager to source, develop and secure new Customs Brokerage business from potential customers within UK & IE. This is a newly created role and an excellent chance for a skilled New Business DevelopmentManager with in-depth customs knowledge to join us and really make an impact.

Location: London Heathrow with travel across the UK & Ireland as required (2 days in the office)

**What will you be doing?**
- Selling Customs Brokerage services to existing and new customers
- Following-up on all incoming sales leads
- Maintaining a healthy pipeline of target accounts
- Identify new potential 'A' type customers
- Meeting new customers both face to face and virtually
- Working to agreed Sales targets and KPI's
- Building knowledge and relationships to be included in formal RFQ's
- Own and lead RFQ and work closely with Tender Management, Customs Brokerage Management and Land Product Management teams to submit competitive, tailored proposals
- Regular meetings and dialogue with the Brokerage Director and Commercial Team in Customs Brokerage on competitor news/developments and detailed feedback on issues preventing new business wins
- Have regular dialogue with Customs Brokerage Senior Management on target accounts
- Make regular JSV's with Land Sales and Customs Management
- Onboarding and implementing new customers into Brokerage department including creation of SOPs

**About You**
- Expertise in HMRC and Customs processes, compliance and EU regulations
- Proven sales track record of gaining new major business
- Excellent relationship building skills, identifying, and prospecting new business opportunities and ability to close successfully
- Ability to prioritise, organise and manage time efficiently is essential
- Significant industry knowledge within Customs, Compliance and Freight Forwarding
- Experience in onboarding and implementing new customers
