Programmes and Office Co-ordinator

We are looking for an interim cover to support our community programmes and our operations at Cook for Good. This will include supporting the coordination of our programme of community events and projects for local residents, and providing general assistance to enable the smooth running of our organisation. The role provides a fantastic opportunity to help develop Cook for Good from start-up to established social business, working alongside a dynamic team who really love what they do. You’ll be line managed by our Pantry Manager, and will also work closely with our wider community team.
The hours will be part time, at roughly 22 a week. There will need to be some flexibility as they sometimes run events on Tuesday/Friday evenings, but mostly it will be between normal working hours, roughly 3 days a week. The temp contract is expected to end in September, however there is the opportunity to make the contract permanent.
Community Events coordination
- Coordinate scheduling of annual programme of community meals and classes, including setting up listings (on website/Eventbrite), and managing enquiries, participant sign up and bookings.
- Support the delivery of events.
Data capture and impact reporting
- Maintain updated contact management records (Hubspot - CRM system) of all community programme participants, wider stakeholders, referral partners, funders and supporters.
- Support the monitoring and evaluation of all our activities, and the collection of impact data and funder reporting.
Operations
- Support with overall running of the organisation, including general administrative duties and diary coordination for team meetings, and with special projects such as Pantry refurbishment.
- Manage the Cook for Good inbox and triaging incoming enquiries.
- Provide general office systems and IT support as required, liaising with our IT suppliers.
We are looking for a highly motivated and well-organised person to join us at this key phase in Cook for Good’s growth. You will have at least two years’ experience of working in an administrative or coordinating role. Demonstrable skills and experience should include:
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proven computer literacy including competencies in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience of using a CRM system and ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal, planning and organisational skills, with great attention to detail, supported by strong system administration.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision, being self-motivated and calm under pressure
- Ability to work with a diverse range of people in an inclusive way.
