**A well-established membrane manufacturing company based in Norfolk is looking for a EHS Co-ordinator to join its team.**

**The Company**:

**The Role**:
Assist the EHS Manager in creating and enforcing a culture of safety and provide advice and guidance to staff for EH&S matters and how to comply with the relevant standards. Implement programs, policies and assessments ensuring PIL is following all external and internal health and safety rules. Assist in the reporting and Investigation of accidents and near misses. Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance teams.
- Plant operation and monitoring through a computer-based control system
- Supporting the incident reporting scheme by assisting in the investigation of accidents, health-related complaints, cases of ill health and environmental non-conformances
- Developing policies and procedures around health, safety and environmental matters, and ensuring that they are implemented
- Ensure working practices are safe and risks are managed to As Low as Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) in each circumstance
- Maintaining the relevant records
- Be aware of the requirements of our permit issued by the Environment Agency and assist in maintaining these
- Presenting statistics, reports, and updates to the line managers suggesting improvements
- Supporting the risk assessment programme, considering how risks could be reduced, and site inspections, to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
- Advising line managers on health and safety-related matters and specialist areas, e.g., fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery, and occupational diseases.
- Providing or organising training about health and safety issues and risks, toolbox talks, inductions, and communications on keeping safe at work
- Ensuring that equipment is installed correctly and safely.
- Manage and organise the safe disposal of waste materials including hazardous substances in line with legislation
- Supporting the environmental monitoring programme for air and water emissions
- Liaising with suppliers such as fire safety equipment providers
- Liaising with external health and safety authorities and trade unions
- Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry.
- Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team, with senior colleagues, and the ability to explain complex information to non-experts.
- Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Flexible approach to work.
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to use own initiative, prioritise and multi-task.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to keep detailed records.
- The drive to continue to keep up to date with legislation and good practice.
- Presentation and training skills.
