We have a permanent, full time opportunity available for a administrator/project officer

The working pattern is Monday-Friday (37.5 hours per week)
- Providing high level administrative and secretarial services to the Head of the Capital/Capital Team within Estates and Facilities
- The postholder will be responsible for providing project management and co-ordination for a portfolio of projects aligned to the delivery of the Estates and Facilities Strategy. The projects could be part of the Trust’s overall Trust wide Strategic Delivery Plans. This will include providing business support, monitory progress, maintain and developing systems as well as business plans.
- The post holder will be the first point of contact for a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and external to the organisation, including liaising with senior clinical and operational staff and the Trust’s directors and senior managers which supports performance improvement.
- To provide effective project co-ordination and administration support. The post holder will support the Head of Capital within Estates & Facilities with their duties and overall team as required to ensure the effective delivery of the programmes.
- To be responsible for maintenance of project documentation, including tracking of programme milestones and objectives, risk and issue registers, action plans.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) King’s Lynn is located near some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK, along the north Norfolk coast, and not far from Sandringham House.

We provide a comprehensive range of specialist, acute, obstetrics and community-based healthcare services to around 331,000 people across west and north Norfolk, in addition to parts of Breckland, Cambridgeshire and South Lincolnshire.

We have more than 4,000 staff and volunteers, approximately 530 beds, and a helipad for air ambulances. We work with neighbouring hospitals for the provision of tertiary services, including as part of regional partnership and network models of care, such as the trauma network.

In February 2022 the significant progress that has been made at QEH was recognised by the Care Quality Commission who rated the Trust as ‘Good’ in all of the core services they inspected. They recommended the Trust moves out of the recovery support system (formerly special measures).
- Manage technical projects, involving prioritisation of resources and budgets. Produce and review documents for presentation project and programme boards.
- Plan, manage and review the project monitoring milestones and outcomes using PRINCE2 based PMO standards, and ensure the required reports, in the defined format, are submitted within the given timescales
- Support the system procurement process by production and management of appropriate documentation organisation of supplier presentations and processing of tender responses
- Deliver project outcomes on time within budget constraints, monitoring and managing projects risks that threaten the outcome of projects.
- Manage and report status or projects and risks or failures to the Project Board or other relevant governance structures.
- Work closely with managers to ensure alignment of programmes within the delivery of strategic objectives, including the achievement of financial balance.
- Assess opportunities, new methods, products or developments, formulating and agreeing proposals with stakeholders that will contribute to or enable overall improvement across the service lines, systems or processes.
- Develop, agree and implement policies, procedures and processes to ensure that the Estates and Facilities agenda meets national, regional and local, Trust, governance, safety and mandatory needs.
