The Membership Engagement Team are the leads on the insight and evaluation of membership activities, managing and developing the College’s suite of membership benefits including overseeing the diploma and ceremonial events processes as well as broader membership engagement activities.

The team have oversight of research and analysis activities, identifying trends and looking to our competitors to inform membership growth campaigns and other marketing activities.

The Membership Retention and Recognition Lead is a new fixed term role that has been created to provide a greater strategic focus to developing our understanding of what our members want from their membership and how best the College can highlight the impact and contribution members make to the development of the profession.

This role would suit an individual with experience of working with membership programmes who understands and can support members through the key transitions in their membership journey.

With an interest in understanding the benefits of membership with the College, as well as the events and activities that support members of the College, you will have experience of developing proactive engagement strategies with the aim of adding value to membership, increasing member retention and identifying areas for targeted engagement with members.

With a high level of professionalism and diplomacy, you will be confident in adapting your communication style to engage with a variety of stakeholders from Members and Fellows, the President, College Council and Directors, as well as third party suppliers.

The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is an independent membership organisation concerned principally with the education, training and assessment of Surgeons, Dental Surgeons and Doctors who are involved in the surgical care of patients. **About the Role**:
The Membership Team encompasses two key strands of activity: membership onboarding and customer service (Membership Services), and retention and recognition activities including membership benefits and ceremonial events (Membership Engagement).
