The Gleneagles Hotel is rich in history, for almost 100 years we've been sparking adventure across the Glorious Playground, our luxury 5-star hotel and country estate in rural Perthshire.

In Autumn 2021, we're city-bound and creating a new chapter in our history, bringing our countryside flair to life on St Andrew Square, in the heart of Edinburgh.


We have lovingly preserved and restored the iconic, A listed, former Bank of Scotland headquarters to create the perfect urban gateway, the 'Gleneagles Townhouse'.

Gleneagles Townhouse will offer all-day dining in our vibrant restaurant; perfect for breakfasts, long lazy lunches and spirited dinners. Our two bars will be striking, including a rooftop terrace where guests will enjoy extraordinary views over the city, previously only held by the rooftop statues


Our 33 bedrooms have each been uniquely designed to inspire a sense of understated luxury, with an appreciative nod to the heritage of the building.

We are currently seeking a strategic, resourceful and creative
Head of Membership to lead the membership team and play an active role as an integral member of leadership team at Gleneagles Townhouse.

The Membership team at Gleneagles Townhouse will be the face for all members.

We want to create an environment of spontaneity and fun for our membership community by delivering first class service, interesting event programming and frequent communications.


Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

  • Leading a small and mighty team, you'll spend your day fluctuating between strategic, creative and hands on tasks
  • Evolve and develop the membership strategy including membership acquisition and retention, member onboarding and member engagement in collaboration with the Head of Membership Experience
  • Attracting and acquiring new members including tapping into your existing network, you'll be ensuring the Townhouse benefits from a diverse membership community by assessing demographic and financial needs
  • Working with data, you'll provide insight that helps us better understand our membership community and shape our priorities
  • Supporting the Membership Team on all aspects of systems and processes, including management of the CRM system, and continuous improvement of all processes
  • Continuously adapting and improving the member experience, you'll be actively consolidating and responding to membership feedback in collaboration with the Membership Experience team
  • In collaboration with the Brand Team develop the existing programme of social, cultural and communityled events for members, you'll recognise the need for diversity and creativity to create a colourful and active programme that reflects the aspirations of our membership
  • Implementing partnerships that enhance the membership experience and operation of the hotel, you'll intuitively know which brands best align with our strategy and vision, including growing the reciprocal club network
  • Developing an engaging communication strategy for all members and guests, you'll be the custodian of a strategic communication plan that ensures members are always up to date with the latest news and goings on
  • Growing the membership base, you'll be proactively engaging potential new members and retaining a tight grip of those members who've already joined us
  • You'll work closely and collaboratively with every team in the Townhouse, recognising that communication is central to ensuring our membership promises are fulfilled
