Together with our membership association we own a small hotel, 28 York Place, located in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town. The hotel includes Bar28, function and meeting facilities and eight guest rooms. We pride ourselves on offering a personalised experience for every guest, receiving positive feedback and return guests. Our vision is _To be outstanding hosts - we will welcome our guests with the best of Scottish hospitality._

You will be a key member of the team, reporting to our general manager who will use their 12 years of experience working with our company to support you in your role.

**About the role**

Your working week will be 25 hours, Monday to Friday. You will be required to work occasional weekends and evenings.

**Key responsibilities...**
- Administration - handle all aspects of the administration of our membership; including managing our membership database, mailbox and diaries
- Hotel duty management - you'll assist with enquiries in the hotel, covering duty manager shifts as required and supporting all aspects of the running of our small business
- Management information - prepare management information, meeting papers and reports on a monthly basis
- Meetings - prepare agendas, attend meetings and prepare minutes and an action log
- Member relations management - engage with our members, respond to enquiries in a timely manner and encourage membership retention and growth
- Minibus - manage hire of our minibus, accurately recording hirer details, invoicing, and reporting damage to our general manager
- Newsletter marketing - prepare our monthly and ad-hoc newsletters, these are a key way to reach our members
- Partnerships - work with our existing suppliers and identify new partnerships to increase benefits for our members
- Social events - work with our committee to develop a calendar of social events, coordinate the planning and host guests at our events
- Social media marketing - develop a social media calendar, post regularly and provide management information on engagement
- Website - review and update our website regularly, creating new content and ensuring stock availability is accurately recorded

**We are looking for**
- Excellent verbal and written communication - you must be a confident communicator
- Strong organisational skills
- Great attention to details
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Experience working within a hospitality setting is desirable
- Experience of using Mailchimp and Canva is desirable
- Experience of using WordPress is desirable
- Experience of using Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
- Experience of social media management
